Introduction
The library has licensed access to multiple collections of streamed video content. Many of the videos in these collections are captioned with transcripts or can be captioned upon request. Video captioning is only available for materials licensed by the library. Search Omni to discover videos with captioning in the library's video collection.
If the video you are looking for is not captioned, please make a captioning request.
Steps
Search for the video you want in our catalogue using the Omni search.
Click on the video that you are looking for.
Select “Details” on the left-hand side or scroll down to the Details heading. Look through the “Subject”, “Genre,” and “Description” subheadings for the following phrases:
- Video recordings for the hearing impaired.
- Films for the hearing impaired.
- Motion pictures for the hearing impaired.
- Subtitled for the deaf and hard of hearing.
If the video you need does not have one of these phrases in its record, please make a video captioning request.
If this video is on a library provided streaming platform, select the link under the “View Online” heading.
If the video is physical, follow the steps to request this video.
